I wrote a new short film and I want to shoot it. It’ll be relatively easy but I need some assistance. If you know anyone who can help me with any of these things, please let me know.

I need:

• An actress to play someone about my age. The key word for this character is “smug.”

• An actress to play my mom. I might just use my mom actually but I’m not positive.

• An actress to play a 30-something young mom (this is crucial as I don’t know many people this age who I can recruit — please someone help!). This character is a flustered but cheerful mom who used to be a CEO.

• A sunny kitchen where I can shoot a scene.

• A sunny coffee shop where I can shoot a scene. (Sunny is important because I don’t want to deal with artificial lighting)

• Extras to fill in the coffee shop scene. Perhaps a barista.

• Someone to shoot and possibly help edit the whole thing. Bring your own camera pretty please. Just kidding, found someone.

• I may also need assistance with lights and sound but I’m not sure yet.

I can’t pay anyone with anything but the experience of being in (what I think will be) a rad short film which I will enter in lots of festivals. I might also feed you while we’re shooting, depends how flush I am when that day comes.

If you know anyone who can help me with any of these aspects of shooting, please let me know. Actors won’t need to be on set for more than one day each, because it’s short. And I don’t really care if they are experienced or anything, just if they can act. And crew members won’t need to dedicate more than two days to this.
